Fame Leadership Summit 2018

Fashioned and Made for Excellence Foundation with the help of our supporters have successfully sponsored over 500 youths to our Fame Leadership Summit with over 30 Secondary and Tertiary Schools in attendance in Ibadan, Nigeria.

Held on May 26, 2018, at the Hall of Grace Jogor, Ibadan, the program according to our Founder, Mr Raphael Stephen, was created to “educate and help develop a new breed of well-developed youth leaders across Africa, who would rise to become ethical and exceptional leaders in diverse fields. We seek to equip and identify leadership potentials in these young African leaders and begin to channel it towards national development.”

Hundreds of youths drawn from Secondary and Tertiary Schools converged in batches on the venue.

Facilitators included Femi Taiwo, Executive Director at Leap Africa who spoke on ‘Awakening and Manifesting the Leader within You’; Tolu Popoola, COO Wocom, dealt with ‘Delivering A New Nigeria’; Adefemi Bucknor, Coordinator American Corner Ibadan who spoke on ‘My Identity. My True Currency’.

In his session, Mr. Femi Taiwo challenged the youths to “take responsibility and look out for opportunities to make a difference.” He said, “ Everyone can serve and solve problems. We must always see possibilities where others see problems. You can start implementing your simple vision now.”

When Mr. Tolu Popoola began to speak on his topic, he said, “We must quit complaining as young people and get involved in delivering a new Nigeria.”

The event was not an all youth affair, as the humble and well-respected Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo State, Honorable Bimbo Kolade graced the occasion. He expressed joy over the ability of young people to channel their energies for productive uses such as the one he had come to witness and also helped with the presentation of awards to our outstanding fame volunteers.
