Fame Global Leadership Program is one of the most important and anticipated leadership development programs offered at the Fashioned and Made for Excellence Foundation, the program is a year-long leadership development program for deserving secondary school students in Nigeria. These students are sponsored to participate in the program. Students from each of the beneficiary schools are profiled and 60 of them are selected to participate in the Fame Global Leadership Program from each of our institutional partner schools.
These selected beneficiaries undergo robust training on the following leadership themes, Self-Leadership, Identity, Purpose, Values, Character, Active Citizenship and the SDGs for a duration of 6 weeks. The training program influences each student to battle against their own preconceptions and paradigms to take action to form new and informed ones. New paradigms that will facilitate positive global change in the world. All participants are expected to implement the values and lessons learned to bring sustainable development to their own community.
The Fame Global Leadership program commences from September to November, in 100 beneficiary schools in Oyo State this year.
After the 6 week-long experience, the participants are transited to the Fame Club Mentorship Project where the leadership development process continues via the acquisition of critical life skills and digital skills for another 12 weeks. At the end of the program, they are tasked to identify, organize and solve a problem in their own community alongside a stipend grant.
This year’s FAME Global Leadership program is set to become bigger, brighter, and better than before with a mission to provide 6,000 students in underserved secondary schools with leadership education. This year’s program is generating massive interest in the Oyo community and the Nigerian community and Africa at large. About FAME
The FAME Foundation is a leading non-profit leadership education organization operating in Ibadan, Nigeria. FAME is dedicated to providing access to quality leadership education for students in secondary schools. FAME started operations in Nigeria in the 2nd quarter of 2017, and since then has reached over 13,000 students in over 100 schools in Oyo State, through over 1,500 volunteers. FAME offers FREE leadership education programs tailored to add value to young people between the ages of 13 – 19 in Nigeria.
